"THE VENTURA FILM FESTIVAL is seeking entries through mid-February for its inaugural festival March 26-29, 2009 in Ventura, California. Accepting all genres and subjects with a focus on narrative features and narrative shorts. There is no fee for this year's festival, though please enclose SASE if you want your screener (DVD NTSC only) and other materials returned. Serious international filmmakers, be they working professionals, students or aspiring cinema storytellers, are welcome to submit to the Ventura Film Festival.
Our themes are REAL PEOPLE, TRUE STORIES, NEW CINEMA, with a focus on blending Local Voices with Global Visions in our "Neighborhood Cinema" and other innovative programs.
